Hummingbirds:

Hummingbird Hummingbirds are living examples of the phrase “dynamite comes in small packages.”

They are indeed small, the smallest weighing less than a penny, and producing eggs the size of a pea. The smallest of these smallest of birds is the Bee Hummingbird, with a wingspan of 2 inches which is roughly the length of 2 quarters side by side.

Welcome

Hullo!

I’m Beesley and I live at the Square Roots Gift and Gardener’s Boutique where “Gardening is Always in Season.”

As the official spokesbear of the shop I invite you to meander through our site and explore our “garden rooms.” We believe you can never have too many garden goodies, so we do our best to gather treasures you won’t find in your home improvement or garden center as well as the standby garden favorites.

The best gardens showcase a variety of blooms, and ours is no exception. We can make a personalized gift (basket, or box, cup, etc) to suit whatever occasion you have a need for (garden-themed or not, but we’re sure you’d give it in a garden if you could, right)?

We carry greeting cards, soy candles, floral fixings, cookie cutters, beeswax candles, and an assortment of garden/ farm/nature related items as we find them. There’s even the occasional antique.

You never know what inspiration awaits you around the next bend, whether you have the garden of weedin’ or the garden of paradise, so come join the tour.

Last one to the gate is a rotten peach!

Beesley Says:

The term "cute as a bug's ear" does not mean someone has ears as adorable as those of bugs; bugs don't even have ears! They do have an uncanny ability to pick up sound and vibrations however, and this aptitude applied to humans went from "acute as a bug's ear" to its present form and meaning.
